We are excited to share our pivotal role in the expansion of Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, a major infrastructure project designed to enhance aviation capacity and connectivity in Chile. Located 15 km northwest of central Santiago, this airport is the largest and busiest international gateway in the country.
In this airport expansion project, we supplied 3,000 tons of hot rolled steel plates, including HRP A36 and A572 Gr.50. These materials were specifically chosen for their high strength and durability, essential for the structural integrity of the new terminal.
The expansion of Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, completed in 2021 with a $900 million USD investment, has doubled the airport’s capacity from 16 million to 30 million passengers per year. The new terminal spans 200,000㎡, including a central processor for arrivals and departures, along with four piers dedicated to departure lounges. This development significantly enhances operational efficiency and passenger connectivity. (more details could be seen on its official website)
Strength and Durability: Guarantees the terminal’s capability to handle increased operational demands.
Malleability and Versatility: Highly malleable and versatile, allowing it to be shaped and adapted to meet specific architectural and engineering needs.
Corrosion Resistance: Ensures long-term effectiveness against harsh environmental conditions.
Structural Reinforcement: Delivers the necessary support for the terminal’s expanded structure.
The expansion of Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport stands as a testament to our dedication to supporting significant advancements in infrastructure and transportation management. Partner with us to ensure your projects benefit from high-quality products, reliable service, and industry-leading expertise.
